What’s Next for Apple? October Event and Upcoming Devices Beyond the iPhone

Apple’s Mega Event in October Again? Check Out Which New Devices Might Arrive After the iPhone

On September 9, Apple launched the iPhone 18 Pro series and the company's first foldable iPhone Duo at its "Surprise and Shine" event. Additionally, the tech giant introduced AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12, and Watch Ultra 4. Prior to the event, rumors suggested that alongside the new iPhones, the HomePod Mini, a touchscreen HomePad, and the next-generation Apple TV 4K might also be launched. However, Apple did not bring any products to market other than phones and wearable devices. But now it has been revealed that a host of new smart home devices from the brand could arrive next month. Before 2026 ends, new models of the MacBook Pro, iPad Mini, and iMac might also make their entry.

Apple May Host a Launch Event in October

According to a MacRumors report, Apple may organize another launch event in October. The company could also announce several products through press releases until the end of this year. However, it is not yet clear exactly which devices will be unveiled next month. Apple itself has not commented on the matter.

It is rumoured that the new iPad Mini (2026) might arrive first. It could use an Apple A20 or A19 Pro processor. This tablet is expected to feature an OLED display and a new hole less speaker system similar to the iPhone. The iMac (2026) may become available with an M6 chipset, a 24-inch display, and new colour options.

The new MacBook Pro laptop might also feature an M6 chip and an OLED display. Speculation suggests it will hit the market in late 2026 in 14-inch and 16-inch display variants; hence, an October launch is less likely. On the other hand, among smart home devices, Apple's HomePod Mini (2026) might get a new chipset.

The speaker may feature Siri AI, improved sound quality, an A1 chip, and a second-generation Ultra-Wideband chip. A red colour variant is likely to be added, though there may not be major changes to the design. Apple's touchscreen HomePad might arrive under the name Home Hub. It is expected to sport a 7-inch square display along with FaceTime and Siri AI support.

Two versions of the device might be sold. The table top model will feature a built-in speaker base, while the second model can be mounted on a wall. Lastly, the Apple TV 4K may come equipped with an A17 Pro chipset, 8 GB RAM, Siri AI, and an N1 networking chip.
