Flipkart's announcement of the dates for its Big Billion Days 2026, Amazon has now revealed the schedule for its Great Indian Festival 2026. The US e-commerce giant's annual mega festive sale in India is set to begin in the second week of October. The company stated that significant discounts will be available across mobile phones, electronics, fashion, beauty, home essentials, and groceries during the sale. Buyers will also find attractive deals on laptops and various tech accessories. Additionally, the e-commerce firm announced bank discounts, extra benefits for Amazon Prime members, and several other offers.

When is the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 Starting?

The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 will start on October 8. Although the company has not formally specified it yet, Prime members are expected to get early shopping access 24 hours prior to the general sale, as in previous years. During the sale, shoppers using State Bank of India debit and credit cards for direct payment or EMI transactions will get up to a 10% instant discount. 

​It has been announced that Prime members will enjoy an additional 10% discount. The company declared it will organize several special offer events during the Great Indian Festival. Shoppers can take advantage of instant discounts, coupons, and extra savings through features like Blockbuster Deals, Top 100 Deals, Mega Deals, 4 PM Deals, Buy More Save More, Exchange Mela, Sample Mania, and Amazon Combo. 

​Amazon will also offer no-cost EMI options and exchange offers across various products. While the company has not revealed offers on specific products yet, deals and offers are expected to be disclosed soon as fewer than 20 days remain before the sale launches. The official event page teases deals across flagship, mid-range, and budget smartphones. 

​Ahead of the peak shopping season, Amazon is strengthening its logistics network by launching 20 new fulfillment centers, six new package sorting centers, and 150 new last-mile delivery stations. 

​Meanwhile, Flipkart’s Big Billion Days 2026 will open to all customers on October 9. However, Flipkart Plus, Black, and Flipkart Credit Card holders will get early access starting October 4. Transactions made using Axis and ICICI Bank cards during Flipkart's sale will offer an additional 10% instant discount.
